Two Routers on Same Network

Hello, all. I just moved into our newly built home and have come across a problem with my home network. I had each room wired with Cat6 going into a main box in my garage. In that box, I have my cable modem plugged into a Linksys 8-port wired router. I then have a Cat6 cable running from each of the 8 ports in the router to each port into some hard-mounted adapter device inside the box. I have checked the network/internet connection with a direct line going from the wall to my computer/various devices and it works great. However, when I try to reconnect my wireless-N router in my office it will not allow the computer to connect to the network or the internet. Any ideas why this is happening?

I have limited network troubleshooting experience so any help would be appreciated. My wife uses the wireless-N for her laptop and I also have my desktop PC and a NAS connected to the wireless router in the office. I swapped out the wireless router with a basic wired switch and everything connected fine so it is something to do with the wireless router. The wireless router was working great beforehand so I know it is not defective. It has to be something in the router setup or something. Maybe the two routers are combating each other for addresses?? I dunno enough to say.

Thanks in advance!
