Two questions about Dell's 8800 GTX (768 mb)

Just got my new XPS410 with Vista Premium. Quad core and 3 gigs of recognized RAM. Trying to run FIFA 08 in 1680x1050 gave me some pretty shoddy frame rares, so I can't help but wonder if it's not a drivers' issue I'm having. Which ones are currently the best to get for this card?

Also, I have the following setup: my main monitor is a Samsung 215TW, which is right in front of me. To the left of me I have a 21-inch Sony CRT. I'd like to use the Samsung for desktop duties (web surfing, etc) and the CRT for games, but I can't seem to be able to figure out how to do that. Also, right now I have them in desktop stretch mode, but the problem is that when I drag my mouse left (which, logically, would be the most comfortable way of moving the cursor from the Samsung to the Sony), nothing happens - I have to move it RIGHT for it to go onto the monitor that's on the left, which is a major pain in the you-know-what.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you running Windows Vista 64-bit ? If so, you need one more gig of RAM, at least.... so total 4GB RAM required.

Uninstall the display drivers through the control panel, reboot then clean the Nvidia display drivers again with Driversweep then go grab the latest 163.71 driver from the nvidia website and install them and see if it helps- you can then adjust how your desktop is configured through the Nvidia control panel.

No, 32-bit. Comparable computers are running the same - I think...

Thanks much🙂. Will do right now. Though not sure how much difference the new Nvidia control panel will make, is it not the same as the default one?

After the clean sweep (I didn't even realize how quick it was! no confirmation box, nothing, but it worked in literally a second), running 3D Mark now...nope, same 10,637 score.

Um no.
4 GB are most certainly not required.
