Hello. As you can see this is my first post. This should be fairly indicative of my level of technical ability.
KEY:
Motherboard: ASRock 775i65G (the conroe version so really ConRoei65GV or whatever it's called on the ASRock Site)
CPU: Pentium 4 3.06G (upgraded to this from my previous cpu because I'm cheap and needed SSE2 for my adobe video editing software)
GPU: ATI Radeon X700 PRO 256m
Keyboard: USB ZBoard MERC
Here is the story:
Due to blown capacitors I had to replace my MB (and CPU...). Everything is installed as far as I can tell, but I'm having two issues.
1) Video: When booting I fail to get video at all if I have my X700 PRO installed. So I have to remove it from the AGI slot and plug the wife's analog monitor into my onboard to get video. I even tried finding the place in the bios to disable onboard video, thought I found it (switched something from PCI/AGP to AGP/PCI). But I've got nothing. Any thoughts? I know the ASRock site doesn't say my X700 PRO is supported but WTF? my older EPoX MB supported it (the one that blew the caps).
2) USB: When booting I have to have either no mouse plugged in or a PS2 connected one plugged in. I can then connect a USB mouse once I'm in windows after bootup, but not before. And my USB Keyboard doesn't work at all. I see the software has loaded for my ZBoard MERC keyboard, but when I plug it in pre and post boot I get nothing. I can only plug in a PS2 connected keyboard Pre-boot to have that functionality. Any idea?
Oh, and the other weird thing is that the my old MB had the Network Cable light up when I plugged it in. This new (relative term) motherboard doesn't. Not sure if it can't or just doesn't.
I really appreciate any help.
