Two mouses on one comp?...

OK, here is my setup:

I ha´ve my computer in my bedroom and my TV and stereo in the
livingroom. From the computer I have TV-out to TV and line-
out to the stereo. From the livingroom I have a Logitech
Cordless Wheel Mouse connected to the computer via a
extension cable. The mouse is connected to the PS/2 port.

In the bedroom I have an other mouse (also PS/2) and
keyboard etc.

The problem with this setup is that I need to turn off the
computer everytime I want to switch from bedroom to
livingroom and vice versa. This is getting on my nerves and
want a solution for this.

My question is:

Can I have two muoses (mice?) connected to one computer at
the same time?

For example my Cordless mouse to the PS/2 port and a new
mouse to a USB / Serial port. Anyone have experience with
this?

My spec:

Abit BH6
WIN 98
Cel300a@450
192Mb
Hercules Prophet DDR-DVI
etc...

Only if you get a USB mouse and a PS/2 mouse. I've had that before, but I've never heard of two PS/2 mice hooked up at the same time.

You should just go pick up a ps/2 to usb adapter. But of course if you are gaming on your computer in your room, and you start moving around uncontrollably, you will know why! lol

I'm using 1 USB and 1 PS\2 mouse at the same time without any problems. My intellimouse was too big for my kids).

I have used a combination of PS/2 and USB; a combo of PS/2 and serial mouse without any problems.

Great idea! I have a lefty son, and he uses the mouse on the right side because he doesn't like to move the cable, pad, and mouse (not a big deal, but he is 5) even though he does much better with his left side. I'll have to try a USB mouse. Also - I noticed Tigerdirect sells a Y splitter for two PS/2 devices. That may work although I'm not sure what the 'puter will think of it.
