Two monitors on a Mac

Which Macs are capable of having two monitors displaying separate workspaces?

I assume the Mac Pro could, but that's pretty expensive. The Mac Mini only has one DVI port, so that's out. Apple's website says the iMac has a Mini-DVI port - is that ALL iMacs, and is it an additional workspace or a replacement for the built-in monitor? And the MacBook apparently has a "mini DisplayPort" which I gather can be used with a DVI monitor with an adapter. Again, is that a replacement for the built-in screen or a separate workspace?
 
Everything except the mini can support dual monitors. We used to buy iMac's and matching size Dell monitors in my old IT job.
 
I know my Mac Book Pro supports a second monitor, so I'd assume that the iMac works just the same, seeing as it's pretty much just a laptop minus the portability part.
 
pretty much the mac mini is the only thing that can't. Though, I believe there are products that can actually split it from matrox, but I have no idea how well they work. they can be used as extended desktops for more workspace.

keep in mind the DisplayPort.. to drive high res DVI dual link.. you need the $100 adapter from apple, that isn't out yet. yeah, ridiculous, I know. But the normal DisplayPort to DVI adapter is $30
 
I once saw an image on MacRumors, a guy had picked up some sort of Dell proprietary cable that had DVI on 1 end, and 2 DVI on the other. And I at first just figured it was a splitter. In reality though, it was a cable that could be hooked up to a DVI Dual Link port on the 1 end, and it would drive 2 separate monitors on the other. As in OS X saw not only the MacBook Pro screen, but 2 other monitors, that he had set up on either side of his MacBook pro. He had a bunch of pictures too. One of the adapter, another of it plugged into his MacBook Pro, one of his desk showing all three displays (with a single window stretched from the left to the right, whereas with the Matrox DualHead2Go it treats the 2 externals as 1 large wider display, so it would not have spanned correctly), and finally a screen shot of System Preferences which showed all three displays (again, the Matrox would have it appear as 2 displays, laptop and externals)

I wish I knew the part number of that adapter, it would kick so much ass.
 
sorry this is offtopic, but am I the only one that looked at the thread title and throw up a little in your mouth? two monitors, one mac...ARRGHHHH!!!!

What would the monitors be doing though? Unless they each had a loop of that video, over and over and over again!
