Two Mobo, One Power Supply?

Howdy - I'm putting together a "stack" computer to work on grid.org and some other distributed computing projects. I have (or will soon have) 8 microATX motherboards (ASRock K7S41) with AMD XP-M 2400+ procs, overclocked to around 2.3Ghz.

They will be mounted caseless, so I'm trying to solve the power supply problem. I really really want to buy a quality 400W PS and split the power between mobos. I've heard of folks doing this - does it actually work? Are there gotchas?

Thanks!
Jeff
