Two major SetiDriver issues

#1 When you reboot it starts running, but the status screen pops up and you have to minimize it. Too annoying for my users and it creates a sense of negativiry toward Seti in general. It should be seamless expect for the blue icon in the systray.

#2 When you shut down it tells you you have to close the SETI program cuz it's a DOS app. Also too annoying for my users to bear and I'm getting complains about it. NOT good.

How can I fix these issues?

Ben - for the 2nd issue, you have to edit the properties for the little program "conagent.exe" and tell it not to "warn if active". Forgot the path for it but you can do a search to find it in windoze.

For the first issue, I'm not that sure unless you can get it to run as a service (which I think is do-able on 9x with 3rd party programs)...

Issue #1
Go to the start menu> startup folder> seti driver properties. Shortcut tab> Run> select "minimized"

Seti Driver will now start minimized as an icon in the sys tray.

Hi Ben,

On the SetiDriver home page Mike Ober has info on your problem #2. Check here.

Then for item # 1 I have a very easy fix. Edit the SETI DRIVER.cfg file and add "-minimize" Stop and start the program it will work as you wanted! But, if you ever change something on the GUI screen and click "Save Config" you loose the "-minimize" option. So, remember to put it back.
