Hello, to make a long story short, i used to have win98SE and mandrake linux running on my computer, with LILO as boot manager (i think). Then i decided to upgrade from win98se to win2k and i did, expecting it to overwrite the MBR and put the w2k boot loader. BUT IT DIDN'T! So now i have w2k and mandrake on my pc, with LILO still, with bno problems.
Question 1: Can i install over mandrake another linux distribution? will it affect the settings on the MBR and/or the bootlader which runs perfectly?
Question 2: Is there a linux distribution out there that is not like 3 CDs!? I want to use linux and download it, but 3 CDs is just excessive. Is there a recent distribution with just one CD and that works well with KDE window manager?
Thanks in advance. 🙂
