Forgive the simple questions. I've been a desktop person for 15 years and making the change to a laptop-only lifestyle has been difficult.
Anyway, I picked up a HP dv6 (A8, switchable 6620/6750 GPUs) last week and have been enjoying it, but my color profile resets randomly while the PC is on, and every time I reboot. I have it set as default and "use my settings" is checked in color management. Is it something to do with the switchable graphics?
Also does anyone know how to turn off the light around the touchpad on HPs? I don't mean double tapping the square to turn off the pad entirely, just the light. It reflects on the screen. I've done it by accident a few times but cannot find the correct key combination, and it resets on the next start. Also is there a way to turn off adaptive brightness? I can't find a setting anywhere.
