The Christmas specials are usually pretty good. I've been anxiously awaiting. The REAL test will be the new season in 2 or 3 years.

hey, remember when TV shows had 23 episodes in a series and a new series would be out EVERY YEAR ?

it was .. mediocre. basically an extended death scene that could have been made 5 minutes long. there was no need to bring back Lieutenant Lethbridge-Stewart either.
doctor who hasn't been good since tennat left, i don't know why i keep hurting myself by watching it. And no, not *because* tennat left, but because the storywriting and direction have gone down the drain.

she said brilliant like she's a moron. tennant would say brilliant like he's a genius. You can say i'm trying to hate on her, but i really wanted Joanna Lumley to be the doctor ...

i did not like Capaldi at all. i'm a big fan of the man, his Malcom Tucker in The Thick of It is one of the greatest characters ever put to paper, but 1) he doesn't work as a Doctor, and 2) his character was badly written. Since Smith, The Doctor has become a moron. He doesn't know what he's doing, everything he tries fails, breaks things. Capadli's wasn't better. Nearly every choice he made during his series was wrong.

The writing was just abysmal. What happened to The Master finding out he was cheated by the timelords? Also, the link in time WAS severed, there is no reason for him to even hear the drums anymore. i.e. he should be cured.

i'm .. not gonna write any more, or i will never stop.

I thought it was "meh" also but I'm looking forward to the new doctor. She has a certain Je ne Sais Quoi to her.
