I got the NexStar 2 External 3.5" Hard Drive Enclosure.
The first time I thought ok maybe I kicked it and didn't notice.
The second time I was not even using it! but it was plug in* XP pop up says
The G:\ hard drive is corrupt........ again Dam it
The third time I just want to see how hot it was getting maybe that's why I could couldn't get a reading but it dose seem to be the problem. HEAT
I never unplug without precautions or even bump an external drive so you can be sure that's not it.
Its a brand new WD 120GB 7200RPM.
( Now what should I do to get back my data. ) END

1) The rear ports are preferable as front ports for USB and fire wire can be inconsistent.
2) Have you tried any other drives to see if the problem repeats?
3) Freezing a drive helps if the drive is failing. Freezing allows it to run cooler and often allows you enough time to recover data before the drive heats up and fails once more. Placing it upside down also helps in these situations. When freezing, be sure to use a sandwich bag or some sealable bag to prevent condensation.
Regards, END
I did freeze in a sandwich bag still had lots of condensation.
still works fine but still corrupted
I talked to a big data recovery Co. in town they said they could get the data easy if it's like I say.
any suggestions out there.
I did try a program called.
Easy Recovery Professional Edition v5.1 Recover lost or inaccessible data.
it didn't work.
