Two Harddrives on one IDE Channel or split one with my ls120?

I am thinking my boot drive alone on ultra 100 ide 1 and then my secondary drive as master on ultra 100 ide 2 and the ls120 as a slave under that drive.

Is this the right way? First time I am going to have multiple hard drives with IDE
