Two hard drives & cd-rom--Slave & master 1&2?

I have two hard drives and the cdrom on a 2 channel bx board and would like to know the best configuration as to channel and slave.
OS hard drive-master on 1 of course but how to do the other two?

I'd put the main hard drive on its own channel. The second one as a master on the second channel with cdrom as slave.
