Two games scramled my PS2 video?

The first I thought was a bad disc, bu then I put in FFT (PS1) and it did the same. The bottom of the screen has multi colored lines and top has a smushed version of the game, but still distorted. My PS2 is going component to my LCD, it works fine with all my other games that I have tried. I guess next I should try a s-video connection or a different TV. Anyone ever seen this?
