Well, it could just be people getting mixed stories and not 1 person spreading this rumor --
Earlier, the report of 5 Firemen sitting in SUV's were found, when the story was really 2 (I think) Firemen involved in the on-going rescue effort fell down into a hole and were saved. Another case of the media acting to fast and not securing confirmations......
I just think the various media outlets have to get the word out first all the time so they retain viewers and become the leading source on developing stories.......I'd rather wait the extra hour and hear correct news than irresponsible journalism. So would the families of those who await their loved one's I would assume.....
There is such a rush to put these workers who are blocks away from the scene on TV and get answers from them. Of course, at times you get the results that do not match the actual story....
Furthermore, the video of kids in the streets in the Middle East chanting Anti-American chants has been discovered to be from 1997, correct? This is another incident of the media jumping the gun to get out their interpretive messages. To me, it is sick. You are creating an atmosphere where Americans begin to hate people who have not even been convicted. At the time the video was being shown it was not known that Osama was probably one of the leaders.
I guess those are my thoughts....
