1. When do you expect the recount to be complete?
2. What do you make of the claims of election fraud?

Btw, screw classes for today I am way too tired from staying up last night. :)

Vote fraud in Florida I take it you mean?

Won't play a role in the decision.

I think you'll see the race decided today with confirmation in about 10 days once the overseas ballots are all collected.

Last pres. election about 2300 overseas ballots were cast in Florida. I think projections are about the same for this year. Most of those were/are military. The military is predominantly conservative, so I think it is still going to be Bush by a hair.

The Florida Election Commission has announced that the recount will be complete by 5 PM on Thursday. I've heard that the results will be available as the count is done. That is a running tally.

The Fraud, if any, will be on the Democrat side. Multiple votes has always been a halmark of the Democrat Party.

<1. When do you expect the recount to be complete?>
tomorrow afternoon
<2. What do you make of the claims of election fraud?>
If you are talking about the Palm beach ballot, IMHO if you cant understand that ballot, you should not vote. They could have asked for help while at the polls, some even did that and got straightened out.
It frightens me that somebody that cant understand where to punch the hole, and didnt even ask for help when they felt like they needed it, would be involved in deciding who becomes president, but this is the USA, and everybody should get to vote.
From what I get, something like 2000 voters out 110,000 may have screwed this up. Yep, they're old and it was tough for them, but sheesh, have you really looked at it? It looks plain as day for me to follow the arrow to proper the hole to punch. I dont think this is a new or unique design, I am fairly certain that I have used one similar to this one in MD about 15 years ago, but i have moved so many times I'm positive what state it was. BTW, the election commisoner (supervisor?) that designed the ballot was Democrat. She said she did it so the older folks could read the letters easier, as the offset ballot allowed for larger letters.

Of course another question is why in the HE!! are we still using paper ballots? Cant the US afford enough PC's do voting on? Or touch screens? Geez this backwater here has touch screens in a lot of places. But, sad to say when I voted, some people couldnt figure how to use the touch screesn either, so sad.....
