Two displays with laptop

I was curious if anyone has ever hooked up another monitor to run dual displays with a Lenovo before. When I switch to one or the other monitor, it looks good, but when I start using both, the color on the laptop starts to look really grainy. It has some sort of DisplayTech thing (for using 2 different resoultions?) and an Nvidia 9300.

probably hardware limitation. other thing you might want to try is to update your graphics drivers. you can find the newest ones from the nvidia website. http://www.nvidia.com/object/notebook_drivers.html

you should be able to run 2 monitors at once without much in the way of limitations. built in + external or 2 externals.

I got it working. Something weird must have just happened when it first detected the monitor. Thanks for the help though guys.
