Two different EVGA 8800GTS Models?

I recently ordered an EVGA 8800GTS from Circuit City. I have yet to receive it but I noticed that the card I ordered had a slightly different product number than the cards being sold at other online stores. My card is 640P2N821DX while the card at Newegg is 640P2N821AR. Does anyone know the difference in the two cards?

Um, I believe the AR and DX just refer mostly to the bundle in the package. They had the same thing with the 7900's... KO, AR, etc. I couldn't find a single thing different about the card specs at all.

I just bought the one with part # 640P2N821AR. It Came without Dark Messiah and had the older sticker art you may have seen in reviews of the first cards out (it's a green on black nVidia design).

Hopefully you'll get the game with yours, as it has the other part # (and hopefully you didn't pay $630 for yours as I had to...)

You should email EVGA, and ask them to send you a copy of the game. They have good customer service, so they might just do it. Or they might just email you a key so you can add it to your Steam games, so you can download it. That being said, the game looks pretty, but isn't all that great of a game IMO...

In case anyone is wondering I paid $459 for the EVGA 8800GTS. It's not a huge deal if I don't get the game but it would be nice.

I just received my 8800GTS and it did have a copy of Dark Messiah included. I have no idea what the difference is between the two models. Both versions seem to have Dark Messiah. By the way, mine came with the EVGA sticker on the fan/heatsink, not the older green sticker.

Update: eVGA's customer sevice got back to me in about two hours, asking for an e-mail on whether the shipping info in my profile was correct, after which they would mail me the game asap.

Yeah, eVGA are awesome like that...I was once accidentally listed as eVGA's "monthly contest" winner for like a day before the actual winner was posted and they sent me the prize anyways cause they said that it was their mistake, that's what I call good customer service and that's why I always prefer to buy eVGA over other brands...
