HI
Is there a adapter or converter box that will let me feed two computers into ONE monitor and see the output side by side?
Thanks

It'd be a lot cheaper and easier to just buy a second monitor and put them side by side... :)

Not really. KVM switches don't cost very much anymore. He can probably find one that fits his purpose for under 100, I just took a quick look at newegg. It all depends if he needs audio switch and whether or not his monitor is DVI or VGA, DVI is more expensive.

No, there is no such device.
As has been said, you need a second monitor. You'll need a video card or onboard video on the 2nd computer too.

I think the VNC idea or remote desktop is probably the closest thing to actually achieving this.

i have an adapter at work called "MyPico2" which lets you use 2 computers with the same monitor, mouse and keyboard. you switch between them by hitting ScrollLock twice (first time in my life i've ever used that button)

You guys are missing the point: While KVM and whatnot is cheap, the OP needs both outputs simul, NOT one at a time. That's why it'd be easiest and cheapest to just get a second monitor.

Kind of obvious but does your monitor have vga and dvi connector? Why not use VGA 1 computer and DVI on the other. There should be a button on your monitor that switches in and out between VGA and dvi.

ARRRRGGGG!

You guys aren't getting it.

He wants the video output of two computers to display on one monitor at the same time.
Part of the screen is one video output and part of the screen is the other video output.
Like one of these does (for $3K).
