Two Computers, A Projector and a Monitor

We the office, we have this setup where currently there's a lot of swapping between monitor chords and computers, and what-not... I'm hoping something like this exists, but thought I'd ask some knowledgeable people before going out and searching for it.

See, we have two computers, with two operating systems. I know they should probably dual-boot, but that's not up to me. We also have a regular computer monitor where we usually create our presentations, do the work. Then we have a projector that projects everything on a screen. The problem is that we have to keep switching from the monitor to the projector, and from computer to computer.

I know for printers at least, there's a switch box where you can attatch two computers to the same printer and just flip a switch and connect each computer to the printer seperately... does anything like that exist for moniters? Would it be possible for me to be able to have an image on both the monitor AND the projector?

Yes and yes.

There are things called KVM (which means keyboard, video, and mouse) that allow you to share a keyboard, monitor (or projector), and mouse. I have a 4 port KVM I'm using rightnow.

Regarding your second question, you are referring to Dual Display. The Geforce MX has dual display capability. Or you could put in two video cards. I'm going to try that in a few days and will let you know how it works. In my case, it's a Geforce3 and Voodoo5 5500 PCI
