When Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser get on their cellos, they can make any song their own -- even if it's AC/DC's "Thunderstruck."

Watch the unstoppable Croatian masters of 2Cellos get in traditional 18th century garb and absolutely rip through this epic melody.

If you were impressed, be sure to also check out their rendition of "Welcome to the Jungle" by Guns 'N Roses here.

We can't wait to see what song they will cover next.

The shock value of this this sort of thing has worn off for me. Kronos Quartet covered Purple Haze back in '86; still have the CD. How many times can you hear Betty White cuss before it gets old?
That said, these guys kicked butt. It's cool hearing them play rock on cello (Technical Difficulties! Holy crap!). But they are just great performers and they're great together. I'd pay to see them live.

They seem like a younger more popular-music-oriented version of Apocolyptica.

BUMPO!

i just saw this today, having missed the original thread. i went in expecting language deleted tbh, boy was i wrong.

its just that in my experience, classical players never really seem to "get" the music they cover .. see for example Apocalyptica, or really, any other cello/violin/insert inappropriate instrument here~wielding group.

another youtube link for the video.
