My current desktop is a shuttle, and it came with built in video... an ATI 9100, if I remember correctly. I have a better video card in the machine for gaming and whatnot, and my monitor not only has a place for DVI and D-Sub, it has a quick-swap button to switch between the two inputs.
Now, if I had two computers the two inputs+swap function has obvious application, though I'd still need a KVM switch anyway for the other input devices.
What I'm wondering is whether there'd be any use for plugging both video card outputs (the built-in and the add-on, in the same computer) into the monitor. The first thought that comes to mind is running dual desktops, so instead of alt-tabbing from a game I would instead quick swap between inputs for similar effect. Any thoughts?
