two beeps from hell -- Soyo Dragon Plus!

Hello,

Can anyone tell me what the two short beeps mean while the computer is posting? I cannot seem to find this in the manual

System:

Soyo Dragon Plus!
AMD 1700XP w/retail fan
512 Mushkin DDR not ECC
ATI 7000 32mb DDR
Win2K Pro

Thanks,
K

"Two beeps is a parity error coming from your bios.

Try reseating the memory, if that doesn't work, use a known good memory module."

Info taken from www.ami.com (AMIBIOS)

If you aren't running amibios, check with the appropriate bios company. Search for "beep codes"

Mine does a single beep upon power up, then two quick beeps upon successful POST.

So, if the final TWO beeps are worrying you, don't. It is normal.

It's the same for me. Guess that's just the way it's supposed to be. Either way there is no use getting worried over something when it's working fine.
