Its kinda strange they botherd to release basically an identical board just for some layout revisions and taking away firewire and cables. Its not even worth it to buy the new one. Its like $85 before shipping is the cheapest ive seen it. Chiefvalue.com has the old 9npa+ultra for $99 with free shipping. So its not even a $15 difference. More like $10 at most.

Also just so you know, the new 9npa3 ultra doesnt have round cables and such either. So it lacks firewire and accessories. Get the older 9NPA+ultra. Chiefvalue.com $99 with free ship.

Good luck.

My question, if i never use the firewire, is it worth it?

I'll check out chief value. I live in CA so I get taxed from Newegg. Si I'll see where Chiefvalue is at(maybe no tax)

EDIT

They are in CA(whittier) so i get taxed.

If you dont want round cables and dont need firewire. I mean....its up to you. Is it worth it to save $10-15 for round cables and firewire? Ill leave that up to you. Maybe you want the cheaper one.

Chiefvalue is in CA. I live in CA as well. They are great though. Its free 3 day shipping on the 9npa+ultra. They have great customer support. Obviously if you dont want to pay the $7 for tax...Can buy somewhere else but I dunno if anyone else will be much cheaper. Might be the "same" price but shipping would be slower. Chiefvalue has free 3 day fedex.
