OK, i went to my OM today (whiteplains, NY), and the manager is an @**, he didnt like the coupon, and didnt like the printed ad that I brought either (the one with all the big IRs). I was going to get the cdrw for $40 b4 $20 mir.

First, he said the picture wasnt clear, and he cant read the item number, and he cant tell what week it's for. After I pointed to him the 'open labor day' line, and gave him the list of instore special MIRs and IRs. He said its for next week b/c one line said : some MIR is not available for sneak preview. WELL, Y does it matter? if its sneak preview, he can still give me IR, and let me worry about MIR. Then I was really mad, i said, i got it saturday, so the ad is for this week, and the epson MIR is only valid for this week, and its on the ad, so it must be this week!!!! what's an idiot!

Anyways, got his name and number ( i think he gave me the fake name b.c he used someone else's card to write his name on...shouldnt he have his own?) Can someone please direct me to get this deal in the store? This is the only store in the area.

I don't get how the 40x cendyne goes from retain online 129 to 69? Your telling me they PM to that internet ad w/o model numbers or manufacturer names? I find that hard to believe? Can this coupon be B&M?

Just a note on these OfficeMax drives. I bought two different ones about 4 weeks ago and last week I got a postcard from them saying one rebate was invalid because I'd already claimed a rebate on another. So you may just want to get one or the other.

Hmm, odd, that shouldn't be, unless the MIR's were OM MIR's. If they were manufacturer MIR's and you bought 2 different brands then that wouldn't happen.

I just went down to my local OfficeMax today and decided to purchase the CenDyne 40x CDRW today. They said that they would honor the ad price-$99.99-$40IR-$40MIR, but they would NOT honor the $20 off $50 OfficeDepot, because there was already an IR and would not do a coupon with that. Well, I purchased the thing anyways for $63.89 ($59.99 + $3.90 UT state tax). When I get my rebate back...$23.89...not bad.

I guess it just depends on where you live and which OfficeMax you go to.

WOW Just did it.

No pricematching either, I just gave the CSR on the phone the SKU #'s and she gave me the correct prices after IR... didn't have to go thru the memphis, TN sales ad stuff...

$79.79 after tax shipped. - $60 rebates = $19.79 for 2 40x CD-RWS, not bad !

The iomagic is now sold out for phone orders. The deal is dead unless there is an equal substitue for the iomagic. Two CSR's could not find an equal replacement for me :/ Otherwise they did do the IR's but just one was out of stock forever. So they said.

Not bad for 3 CD burners and a free CD player and speakers!

Hi Guys, I have my order all setup but i'll be damned if I can find the 25 off 100 coupon. The 2 links I did find lead to "Sorry promotion is over" pages at officemax.com. One page said the 25 off 100 expires on 8/24 yet y00ycdz claims success on 9/2. Am I too late as of the 3rd? What's the deal?
