Anyone who defends a waste of useful possible donor organs, Alex Jones, is a spineless ass.

The disgusting lies pushed about the innocent victims like those in Sandy Hook, leave me wishing nothing but the most painful hell upon the scumbag perpetrating them, and any dirtbag defending such. Go to hell Jack Dorsey and take Jones with you.

It's interesting that they are quick to identify and zap tens of thousands of fake bot accounts, but not actual humans spreading direct, actual, destructive hate and violence. A cynical person would think that Twitter is only interested in the revenue generated by the hate and the legions of hateful, deluded supporters (but real!) that depend on that hate, and thus generate exponentially more revenue for the service.

Jack's defense of their corporate inaction leaves people to infer that he is protecting Jones/InforWars because he actually subscribes to what they espouse.

Id say he’s he one with a spine to be honest. It’s easy to cave to public pressure to do as he called them feel good bans. It’s another thing entirely to stick to your gun and moderate your platform with as even a hand as you can.

I have only followed Jones closely enough to know he is an absolute Nut. Twitter is entitled to ban and not ban who they see fit. Has he posted anything that violated Twitter’s policies? If so did you report it? I’d also recommend not using their platform if you disagree with their actions. I don’t have a twitter account and likely never will.

There is something to be said about holding your ground within reason, but at the same time, Twitter isn't earning much sympathy. -- like it almost has a hard-on for genuinely vile people.

Case in point: NBC has been trying for an interview with Jack Dorsey for years. And yet he's mysteriously available for a timely Sean Hannity interview on Fox News. Respected news outlets that at least make stabs at objectivity and serious reporting? Nah. A corrupt mouthpiece for Trump and the Republican party? Wait, clear my schedule.

America is reaping the effects of it's short term profit only matters relative morality in spades, Trump is just the icing on the cake and as a result you are choking on the very freedoms that made the country the envy and destination of the world.

That is why soon you won't be able to have nice things anymore.

Weird, has he ever given a reason why he won’t talk to them?

So if you're claiming that others are doing that, and it's "child level", you're still in what, infant level political discourse? *shakes keys* Does baby want a ba-ba?

Not that I've seen. There has been a consistent pattern, though. For all the belly-aching about Twitter supposedly being part of a left-wing 'plot' to censor conservatives, the company and Dorsey have been oddly reluctant to actually go after the far right until there's some incident that practically shames them into doing it, like the Charlottesville violence.

I'm sure its a total coincidence that Twitter has finally somehow started becoming profitable in spite of most people being sick of their shit and calling for them to do something about the rampant hate overwhelmingly coming from right wing groups. Something tells me that we're going to find out about some deal between them and some conservative investors. That or they've taken up being the one to provide unfettered data to groups like whatever Cambridge Analytica call themselves now in exchange for money.

Out of curiosity do you find that "hate" only seems to be coming from the far right? I agree they have their fair share but I’d also agree the far left seems to have ample amounts as well. The center is the sanity of the country imo.

I'd say it predominantly comes from the right. You don't see left-wing neo-Nazis or anti-immigrant scapegoating types, and the hardcore sexists/homophobes/transphobes tend to be religious conservatives.

There's also the nature of hatred, such as it is. Hatred from the left, when it comes, tends to stem from hatred for what someone is doing... say, corruption and bigotry. A lot of hatred on the right is targeted at someone's mere existence.

I think you probably pick up on it more from the right because it’s a lot easier to spot someone else doing it than it is to do a real self reflectance (for anyone) but there’s assuredly plenty of hatred coming from the left as well for merely existing. Our friend Sarah Jeong is the example that comes to mind just right offhand.

Alex Jones only made noise for money. He admitted it several times, notably during his divorce proceedings. Who would stay married to that guy?

However, to be fair, The Young Turks should also be thrown off social media for similar sensationalist nonsense and hate speech.

The nature of it matters.
Is it hate rooted in bigotry against other people's innate traits, or hatred towards people's actions.

Because the right LOVES to hate for skin color, sexuality, etc. The left RELISHES in hating people who support or carry out the hate of the first group.

Do you even get the difference? Or do you think there's no righteous hate? My guess is the latter because it allows you to tsk everyone like a real asshole.

No, it's because more of it comes from the right. Objectively. Unquestionably.

Neo-Nazis are not left-wing. Anti-immigrant hatred is not left-wing. Anti-LGBT bigotry is not left-wing. Hell, who do you think is removing discrimination protections in the US government right now? There's a consistent history of right-wing politicians not only embracing hatred, but revolving their entire policy platforms around it. After all, "conservative" by its definition means either resisting change or turning back the clock, and that plays right into the hands of bigots.

Please, please stop parroting the lie that Jeong is a racist. She isn't. Full stop. Her rhetoric from a while back may have been unnecessarily antagonistic and spiteful, but anyone who actually read her tweets in context knows she was railing against white racism, not white people. If you feel threatened by her saying "f--- white women" because they were supporting a bigot like Trump, you need a crash course in reading skills.
