TWITCH!!!

Isn't that violent, partial or full body twitch you get when falling asleep disturbing?

I recall one time jumping out of my seat on the subway when I was falling asleep. People looked at me like I was crazy...

It's crazy, isn't it?

I hate doing it in class - everyone looks at you like your nuts...

Heh.

The most amusing thing about it is my cat.

He'll be lying in bed asleep next to me, and then I do that twitch. He jumps up and freaks out looking around as if to say, "WTF is going on!?"

Yea, especially when its a twitch + grunt.

grunt?! :Q

I've never grunted (that I can remember) but I could see how it can happen.

Yea, it's basically starts out as a "what the hell" but then you realize where you are, that you just fell asleep, and that you shouldn't finish the sentence, so it degrades into a grunt.

Somewhere, once, I read someone explaining it something liek this:
When you dream you are flying, you actually slightly levitate off the bed. If you suddenly wake up, you will fall a couple inches 😀

I don't do it at all, but my girlfriend has crazy fits of them most every night. I find that she usually has more violent twitches on nights where she played a soccer match that day.
