Twist N Go Scooter 49cc @ Costco $849

Just went to costco today in San Diego. They had Twist N Go gas powered scooters for $849. I checked out there site at Netscooters and they had the same scooter, the Venice, and it retails for $1500. Great deal if your in the market for a scooter. I havn't heard anything about the brand before, but Costco has a great return policy.

How fast are these things? Can they make it up a steep hill?

The descripton at costco said it only goes about 35 mph and the riders weight should not exceed 170. Its not very fast, but it goes over a hundred miles on 1.5 gallons of gas

Perhaps a stupid question, but, do you need a motorcycle license to ride one of these things?

I saw some 49cc scooter at sams before for $899 & $999, I don't think those are yamaha or honda but good price for a scooter like that, especially if you live at Ca and the gas price is so high.

I wouldn't ride this on a busy city street for long but for close to home errands, shopping, or going shopping this would be perfect. Too bad it rains 9 months out of the year here, otherwise I'd consider getting this.

Thats a great price. I can use the money I save to buy a side car.
