Twintech is a fairly new brand name in the graphics card market, in the US & Europe.Twintech is an official nVIDIA Partner since late 2006, and have recently introduced their offerings for the nVIDIA 8800 Series, the Twintech GeForce 8800GTS 320MB, GeForce 8800GTS 640MB, GeForce 8800GTX 768MB, and the GeForce 8800GTS XT & XXT overclocked editions.

We had a chance to review their top offering, the Twintech GeForce 8800GTX

Your comments mean a lot to us, so if you got something to say, plz do so :)

You should be able to find the Twintech 8800GTX priced at 470-500$

Hi mate, thanks for your comments :)
All 8800 Series cards are made by the same board partner, and the manufacturers ( like eVGA, Asus, MSI, Twintech, Gigabyte, etc ) just re-label the cards.
Actually if you try removing the sticker of any 8800GTX you'll find the original nVIDIA sticker underneath it :D

Yeah i am aware of that, so the theory is Twintech is just taking a smaller profit margin in an effort to push their brand?

Some manu's do of course put their own coolers on the card, so don't be too dissapointed if you don't find any NV branding on the cooler. :D

hmm looks like their factory overclocked GTS (GeForce? 8800GTS XXT Edition) is the fastest on the market....

Thanks OP for the very nice, detailed and informative review. Bookmarked.

Nice, props to them for making a product at a better price for the consumer and keep what seems to still be good quality. Good job on the site and review also.

You do some really thorough reviews, nice job. White on black is certainly easier on the eyes too... nice site.

Thanks everyone for your comments :)
We do our best to publish thorough & trustworthy reviews, with measurements that you can verify :)

@Zebo: I'll check my contact at Twintech for that, and I'll get back to you
@Zebo: And I'll try white text on black background to check if it's better :)

Nice review. I am in the market for a new video card. I have been eyeing several 8800GTS cards for a little bit under the price you mention. However, the only places I could find this card are in Europe. The price is about $560Euros ($760 US).

Would appreciate if you could find US dealers to get an idea on price (I know you mentioned it right above).

I've got news boys:
Twintech's sales manager is contacting Newegg & a distributor ( MaLabs ) to have their products on sale.

She also told me to give you her e-mail, and if you're interested into buying a Twintech GeForce 8 Series card, e-mail her with "Sales Inquiry - from BenchZone Review" as title ( she's really busy, and receiving lots of e-mails, the title will help her "pick up" your e-mails asap )

Contact:

Regards,
BenchZowner

P.S. Pricing will be very good ;)

What kind of warranty do these cards carry? Seems like Twintech is mainly an EU distributor? Getting these serviced might be a bit of a PITA. Nice price and review though. The rating badge needs some work though. ;)

Hi mate,

The Twintech GeForce 8800 Series cards come with 2 years warranty.
RMAing the card directly will be fast, on the other side, if you send the card back to the store ( where you brought it from ofcourse :p ) nobody can guarantee you the delivery times.

P.S. The ratings system ( scoring system ) and the badges will be changed soon :)

one thing that you could do is use a lower processor for some of us that dont have a core 2 :(. maybe just one section to see how much bottleneck occurs?

There's already a short ( hmmm...kind of ) article where we measured the performance of a single GeForce 8800GTX with the full range of Core 2 Duo processors ( stock & overclocked ).
Read the article here

Since I'll be reviewing the Twintech GeForce 8800GTX SLI in a week or so, I'll grab a Socket939 or AM2 system to compare the latest Intel processors against the AMDs effects ( bottlenecking ) on a system with a 8800GTX.

Stay tuned :)

Response from Helene:

We regret to inform you we don't sell the products to North America ( USA /
Canada) yet. If you're interested in buying our Twintech VGA card, we can
ship them out from Europe or maybe you can buy it from some European
website.

There goes that option. I doubt their price-point would be any lower than other company.
