Man the AL Central is gonna be rockin' next year. Tigers, Twins, Chisox, and Indians (lets hope they do better...Garko?) are all great teams, or in the case of the Indians, becoming a great team.

Is that amazing or what?? They looked dead the first 2 months and now they are division champs. Really incredible what the Twins did. This means the Twins will play the A's while the Tigers play the Yanks.

it does suck, which is why I don't understand why the damned season is so long. Too long. Too many chances for players to get hurt - especially before the more important games.

So why so many ? Income ?

The Tigers are probably wondering why oh why the league couldn't have followed through with their contraction plans. :D

They still had 90 wins. Better than all but the Mets in the NL. Only two teams from the division could possibly get in the playoffs.

A whole lot of winning. There was even a stretch where they had 20 wins in 22 games and only gained something like 1.5 games on Detroit.

I think they're going to get their asses handed to them. Detroit has played like crap for the last 6 weeks or so. It says a lot IMO that they were swept by KC of all teams, in critical games in the final series of the season. I was at the Twins game today, and I never thought I'd cheer so loud for the Royals!

I think NY will manhandle the Tigers, and the Twins will decisively beat the As.

No kidding. Even Chicago, third in the division, had a better record than every NL team except the Mets. :Q

As for the Indians, they'd have been much better this year if they had the same pitching as last season. They were second in runs scored, fourth in batting average. As an Indians fan, I'm hopeful for next year.

Yeah, that's why I said "hopefully". I don't think they will take the Yankees, but I won't go as far as to say they'll get their asses handed to them. We'll see.
