Hi,
my local pc store Overclockers UK, has started to sell 5 different brands of memory. The TwinMOS brand seems very cheap. Are they any good though?

look at the chips used... if it is WINBOND & ends with BH-5, then its good stuff... most people are able to overclock it at 200Mhz at aggressive settings....

I was looking at them cos in the summer, when i come to buy the memory, i can pay on £140 for 1GB of memory(2x 512mb) rarther than £210 for the other ones that they sell.
I dont plan on OCing the memory, i`ll be getting a board, that supports the latest memory standards, and allows me to lock the memory/agp/pci speeds.

Apart from OCing, is there any point to the higher priced memory?
Like samsung, corsair, crucial, ocz (all sold at oc uk). I know that quality memory is recommended, but if it runs, then whats the problem?
