Frankly, I don't see what would've been wrong with asking:

"Do you prefer the Tea Party or OWS?"

As I said above, OWS doesn't yet have enough name recognition to identify it that way. They'd get so many "I don't knows" that the remaining sample would be too small.

Also, it should be 2 separate questions, not 1 comparing the 2.

That is funny. Everybody I have talked to about it thinks they are a group of self entitled ass holes.

Tea Party has had a long time to become a joke. Probably OWS will become also. Hopefully not though.

Tea Party is a fake grass roots Koch Bros/Freedomworks affiliation. I don't think OWS is going anywhere soon and I agree with you 100% that I am also hoping it will NOT die out.

False attribution in an attempt to label & dismiss. Very unsurprising from a denialist.

The goal of OWS isn't to offer any demands or solutions at this point, but rather to draw attention to the issues of inequality and lack of opportunity all around us. They want for people to think and discuss the issues, which obviously won't happen for those whose tendency is to believe all the more strongly when anybody questions their faith.

Lots of different people with lots of different ideas are participating, and the usual Righties will seize upon any expressions they believe will discredit the movement, you obviously being among them.
