1. TweakXP.

OS - XP Pro

Problem: Enabled X-mouse week or three ago, later tried to disable it after deciding I didn't like it(mouse, x-mouse, uncheck both boxes, apply, ok. Stays off for the session, but everytime Windows reboots it becomes automatically re-enabled.

2. Drag and Drop

OS - XP Pro

Problem: On XP home, 'dragging and dropping' moved files. On (my) XP Pro installation 'dragging and dropping' copy and pastes files. Would prefer not to have to drag and drop, then delete files.

Thanks for the help.

If you're dragging and dropping from one drive to another, WinXP automatically copies the files for you. If you drag and drop between two folders on the same drive, it'll move the files for you. What you can do is select the files and drag and drop using the RIGHT mouse button. A little menu will pop up asking you if you want to move or to copy.
