I reformated some time ago and had a trial version of a program that realy seemed to help with boot time and just generaly making XP run faster but have searched the Forums and unabel to find it. Cant recal the name was not a popular progarm like Tweak XP but sure if I saw it I would rember it. So if you now any real good tweak ultilties could you list them.
Also looking for info on a Back up program I read that with Win XP there are problems using Ghost and drive Image can some one confirm this and if so tell me a program that I can use to to do a complet system back up.

For a reliable system backup:

Use NT backup in two parts:
1. Create an ASR (yes, you have to use the floppy).
2. Backup all non system state separately.

Tweaking is 90% making sure you have the right drivers for everything.

Xteq is a good tweeking app (now called x-setup)

http://www.x-setup.net/

I would start though with configuring your system from 'services.msc' and if unsure use Black Vipers list:

http://www.blackviper.com/WinXP/servicecfg.htm

Another good tip is to use Spybot's Tools/System Start Up options to disable 'junk' loading at start up. Also Spybot is full of tweeking options (ans so is Adaware Pro...but unfortunately its not free).
