Hey All,

I have been overclocking since the days of the 486. Then was just changing the multiplier and maybe FSB.

Then I got into BX chipset overclocking and there was the BH6, BP6 that I played and tweaked.

Now I just recently bought the KT7-100 RAID and I am new to the VIA chipset. There are a few more tweaking options in the BIOS menu that I am not too sure about.

Anyone out there with some experience in how to juice the max performance from the VIA chipset and the KT7-100 RAID board?

Config:
Duron700@900 (yet to find its workable limit as it stalls on 950)
ABIT KT7-100 RAID
IBM 45GB ATA/100
Mitsubishi 128RAM PC-133 6ns
Asus V7100 GeForce2MX w/ TVout
SBLive! DE 5.1
Plextor 12/10/32A
Pioneer 16x DVD
Enermax 450W PSU

I've got almost everything enabled on my KT7-RAID, except the Hole at 15MB and bios virus scan (bear with me I'm at work so I can't check my system). If you run a couple of benchmarks while tweaking your bios you'll notice that there will be some adjustments that will increase cpu/memory but decrease HD performance. It's a personal choice as to what you want to perform better. I'm running a TBird 800@927 with PC-133.

First update to the WZ bios, make sure you disable virus warning in the bios and have a fan connected to header 1 before you flash, because of the fan protection feature. Then set memory and chipset options to the fullest and HOSTCLK+PCI.As far as your overclock, user define...8.0 multiplyer x 110 FSB or higher on both if you can reach it and 1.85 volts on CPU.But remember more MHZ does not mean as much as you think,so lean towards more FSB than multiplyer to get higher scores. The 880 mhz above will likely outdo the 900 mhz and give a 37 PCI bus, that should be safe.Insuficiant cooling or CPU limit will be the limiter of your overclock. Many people get 1000mhz out of these, some do not.Cooling will be your most likley sucess.Good luck!
