Yeah, so anyway, I'd like to tweak my bios. I'd like to get a 7000 3dmark score, and I think my computer has the balls to do it :)

It's currently just below 6500, but nothing is tweaked in my bios...

Also, Fastwrites doesn't work.. I mean I get a bad picture if I boot into Windows.

Thanks!

well, just the basic tweaks is all I know for it. RAM timings at 2, bus speeds as fast as possible. BTW, which duron you got at 1008? Also, which driver are you using with the MX300? I had one in my box and it threw all kinds of horrible fits (random reboots, lockups). Stuck in a Fortissimo and all is well. Also, my fastwrites work just fine, and 4x, and I'm using Det6.26;
-Any more indepth tweaks would be appreciated by me as well.
-In case you didnt see it Toms Hardware has an article showing you how to raise the A7Vs max voltage to like 2.32 or something close to that. Should be on his front page.

- ALSO, My v7100 Pure 32mb gets just over 5400 on 3dMark 2000 default bench. The high end P3 scores seem to be consistently better than and AMD offering with this vid card.

sorry i got so far off topic!

Try overclocking your video card if you haven't already...

Set the BIOS to "Optimal" under the performance (I think) setting...

Do the RAM tweeks as suggested.

Maybe try newest Detonator drivers (6.31 were just officially released)...

Get that fsb up as high as it will go; even if you have to drop the multiplier. That memory of yours should run on the 143mhz 2,2,2 setting in bios also.

Make sure you have the latest AGP driver installed from via. The one in the 4in1.25 is the latest I think. I haven't looked lately.

Try turning off vertical sync plus FSAA, overclock your vid card, and set everything else vid realated to "max performance".

Over 6,000 is pretty sweet. I have a Radeon 64mb DDR that I just installed and have yet to break 5,000. I have much tweaking to do. The virgin drivers don;t help either. I had 90+% of a beta driver DL'd when my ISP decided to disconnect. It turns out ATI isn't using a transfer protocol that allow RESUME!!!! f*&^%!!!!! 15mb to go......grrr

This is a Duron 700.
Drivers for the MX300.. hmm.. I got them off a PUB somewhere.. I can't remember :(

Thanks for the help guys, but what happens if I up my bus speed?
I had to learn how to overclock this way, and I only understand changing the multiplyers..
