Say, any know about the recommended tweaks for setting disk cache in Windows 98SE?
Any links that may be helpful?
Sisoft Sandra recommends that I increase my disk cache to 25% of my physiclal memory, which totals 196MBs right now. Also, Windows 98 Annoyances recommends the same 25% figure.
The current vcache settings in my system.ini is "MinFileCache=40960" and MaxFileCache=40960".
I don't know how to tell if there is a performance difference.

I wouldn't mess with vcache, but I would set ConservativeSwapfileusage=1 in the system.ini :)

DOH ! A few too many <shaking head> :p

the ConservativeSwapFileUsage = 1 should be placed in the 386Enh section of the system.ini file.
