tweaked Radeon LE w/ low 3dmarks + CONSTANT 3d freezing

Got one of my workstations running with a Radeon LE (mainly for Tribes 2 lan matches) a few days ago. However, I've been receiving constant lockups in Tribes 2 and low 3dmark 2001 scores. This is a completely fresh install of Win2k, via drivers all installed fine, radeon tweaker installed. The via agp drivers did not give an option of turbo or normal mode (probably due to an installation on a Win2k box?). I've benched with 3dmark 2001 with the 3dmark 2001 profile in RadeonTweaker and also benched with the registry settings PURGED by RadeonTweaker. So.. apparently, 3dmark benches fine, no problems at all except that I receive a score of only 2579. Tribes 2, Counter-Strike, and probably every other 3D application, freezes about 15 minutes of running.

MSI K7T Turbo w/bios 2.7
Duron 750 @ 950 (9.5 x 100)
Micron 256Mb PC100 ram
235W PS
Radeon LE oced to 194/194 with Hyper Z enabled (stock heat sink cooling and ROCK STABLE)
ACPI is enabled in bios (have 4 devices sharing IRQ 14, one of which is the Radeon, but there are no IRQ conflicts
reported by both Win2k or Sandra SE)
3DMark Score 2579 @ default (1078 x 768 @ 32bit)

*(Also, how do you enable sideband addressing on the Radeon LE and Fast-Writes? (the 2.7 bios don't have a fast-writes option)*

A SUPER THANKS to everyone that can give a little insight and feedback on these issues.

I'm confused. Do the freezes happen both with and without the overclock, or just with the overclock? If it only happens when you have the card OC'ed, you need to drop it down a couple notches.

Heat isn't an issue for either the oced processor or the oced Radeon LE. I have tried using default settings for both the processor and the video card but anything that's 3D still freezes after running for 15 minutes or so (now including 3DMark 2001 which freezes after 2 minutes for some odd reason). I have tried reinstalling the viagart agp drivers and the freezes continue.

I have had similar problems. All I did was do a fresh driver installation (I believe I was using the 7089s) with an older set of drivers and the problem went away. Which version drivers are you using?
