Yes I have 2 SSDs sig rig....1 for OS apps games data, other for strictly DAW.
Sonar X2 ,,,,,,,, I know how much the synths take up and effects....
A steinway piano,,,,, I can max to 100 percent cpu usage 1 track by playing classical music and really really fast,,,,,, thing jumps to 60avg.. thats one track,, soo I needed this upgrade badly. thx
Hope it does the trick for you, be good to see how much difference this upgrade makes.
Thanks NTMBK , thanks a lot,,,,,, hopefully things will work out cuz I just gonna boot with m4 ..... and see if it goes to windows and installs drivers and such. Or maybe go into safe mode first let it find stuff then go to normal...... What do you suggest NTMBK.... and anand gurus.
They need to be installed properly and working in Sonar X2
theres a lot of registry entries for this.. D:
Guys Im gonna exactly explain the Q6000 and my new 3820 comparison...
Im going to play the piano again visioucly with 20 keys at same time and what not and look at the CPU usage. Right now it will go to 100 percent if it has to and drop audio or crash. Am I right when I say that steinway piano will never go above 5 percent on new CPU. You think its that much powerful ? thx
If 20 key presses are locking the machine up I would imagine it points towards bad software or a badwidth limit. What connector does it attach with?
If all you're doing is playing a single software instrument, it shouldn't be going over 5% CPU with the rig you already have.
God, we were doing that stuff in college with frikkin' ~500 MHz Pentiums.
No its good...... its only this Kontakt library piano , that takes up a lot but i never play banging 20 keys at once left and right until itl crashes,, soo I think Im good with it, anyhow Im upgrading on tuesday or wed .. when my stuff comes. thx gl and Im using ASIO 2.0.11 latency @ 1ms ,,,, plays perfect all synths are good dont take too much..... but if Im on a massive project and I dont freeze couple tracks then its gonna choke at 100 percent.. New rig at 5 percent, would blow me away!!!!! cant wait
I really can't see any situation where your new rig would be 20x more powerful so going from 100% load to 5% load probably isn't going to happen.
Its not happening now, it was the driver, now Im using official ASUS driver instead of UNI Xonar. so i can press many keys it handles it and Im using Sonar X2 Producer btw,,,,,,
best app of show..
No point in upgrading your rig now, cancel your order .
Well soon find out.... nice one,,,,,,,,
USB M-AUDIO Keystation 88
never had these issues with 7,,,,,,, hmmmmmm
Windows o/s's since 7 have been agnostic, and will boot in safe mode after a transfer mostly.....I usually generalise the device drivers myself. However 7 installs that fast, its hardly worth the trouble now!
i'd just give her a rip all the way first. you'll probably have to install the drivers for your new board.
Your right its not......... most of the synths are 5 percent ish,
yet Kontakt steinway piano is now taking like even 40 percent at times.
Lets see what this 3820 does.. stock bTW,, I gotta make sure its works and is stable for 2 weeks,,,,, then I oc to 4.5Ghz ,,,,,,, thx
