I installed tweak XP lately just to try it out and i noticed it was blocking my ads and cookies. Now this wasn't too bad till it interfeared with stuff. Sometimes images don't load all the way and pages won't even load. I uninstalled Tweak Xp but my cookies and ads are still being blocked how do I completely remove this feature?

Windows XP does not do any native ad blocking. Your Web browser is doing it, or another application that you installed.

Ad blocking is an optional feature under one of the tweak submenus of tweakXp. For some reason despite your uninstalling tweakXP the feature remained. Probably the simplest way to defeat the Ad blocker would be to reinstall tweakXP and unclick the Adblocker feature.

Tweak XP can block ads and pop-ups, but they are not turned on by default. That is also done in IE^ under Privacy, and likewise by ZoneAlarm Pro under priivacy. If Tweak XP does the blocking, you will see their notice in place of the ad.

I have "tweakxp pro" setup, when I go into task manager, under processes i notice there's "adblocker.exe" - see what happens if you end-task that. Its also listed in msconfig (start>run>msconfig>startup) so try unchecking it there and rebooting.

Thinking about it, it's odd the ads are still removed after tweakxp is uninstalled, since i think that would delete that file... it's probably chopped something in the registry, in which case the tweakxp reinstall Paolo suggested should sort you. Afterwards also go into IE tools> internet options> privacy and check settings re cookies in there.

Tweak XP's pop-up blocker and AD blocker are the best by far. Ever since i have had it running....not one pop-up :D
