Do you get annoyed when people post URLs without properly linking them?

This registry tweak will fix that. Just highlight a broken or nonexistant link and click "Open Selected URL" example

It allows tremendous leeway for mistyped links as well (test page)

Hope this helps.

See sig for other tweaks. More to come.

*EDIT*

If you have WinXP, you need to use the Win95/98 reg patch. The NT patch will only work on NT systems (modifies entries in /WINNT, not /WINDOWS)

Does this work for XP? I just imported it to the registry. I get the option to open select URL however it does not open anything.

I think you have to use the reg patch for Win98, not NT. Notice how the NT reg patch will modify files in /WINNT. That's not what you want.

Also, if you did not properly copy the included .HTM file to /windows/web then it won't work.

It's called "RT_E_FM"

Read the ENTIRE Frickin' manual. ;)

I use MyIE2. I select the text, then drag it aside and let the mouse button go again. Instant opens a new page, or if it's not an url opens Google to search for those keywords.
