I tried this a few weeks ago when I was desperate to watch an Edmonton Oilers PPV game.

It worked magnificently, the quality was pretty good - just not sure about the legality. Seemed a little too good to be true.

So do I just need to download the software and I will be able to view ANY channel on my computer for free?

Not sure how the channel lineup works, but it seems to change quite a bit. You don't get to view ANY channel though, that's not how it works. Seems to me like whatever happens to be showing is what you have to choose from.

That's why it is hit/miss with the sports.

For a diehard sports fan, if you need to watch your game and it works for you, it suddenly becomes one of the coolest apps available.

Any channels that they stream. Sometimes it varies.
