TVR closes shop

There's a big surprise...I'm sure that most people knew it was inevitable after the Russian kid took over.

Sad to see it go...I still remember everybody wondering what car that was in Swordfish 😛

That's because most people weren't up to date on their TopGear episodes.

It's sad that TVR might be gone forever. I still like that Tuscan Speed Six.

what!

noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! 🙁

tvr have been my favourite british sports car maker of all time, yeah lotus make good cars too, but TVR just make insane machines. and the guys in blackpool love what they create. sad moment indeed. they even build their own engines too, their cars go like ****** of a shovel and are always lairy to control. make great noises too....really good.

i remember the TVR speed 12 they made............................ 800bhp 12 cylinder monster, rear wheel drive, the most agro looking car ever, it was incredibly light, the body was made completely from fibre glass, so you can imagine, 800bhp was abit of a handfull, which it was.

sure was, it would tear your face off at a moments notice though 😀

they entered GT racing i think ( i dunno like le mans style cars or whatever) dont think they did too well. i seen a video of them testing a race version and it was just all over the show, (may of been a jeremy clarkson video) think the driver lost it when he nailed the throttle out of a corner....car just span.

dont really care that it handled rubbish....it was just a beast and looked the part
