Looking to buy something from 32 to 42 inches. Doesn't need to have outstanding quality, looking to play Xbox on. Needs to be cheap, I don't really know what to look for.
 
Walk into Wal-Mart and / or Sam's and buy the cheapest one. Or go into Best Buy and buy the house brand. If you don't care that much about quality and want it to be cheap...there you go.

Even craigslist may work you can find a 42" rear projection HDTV for probably under $300.

This. Before I went on vacation, a coworker asked me what would be a good middle of the road set. When I asked how much he thought was middle of the road, he said less than 4000.😱

Last time he stepped into a store to look at tvs, plasma sets were going for over 8k at best buy.
