TV worse for gameplay?

Hi,

Just got a new TV. 27" Toshiba, its nice but its not like HD or plasma or anything.

Much bigger than my 17" LCD monitor I use for my computer. Make no mistake, my monitor has amazing color, I love it, but would I get better picture from using the TV?

The LCD has the normal lcd lag and its not as big, but would a tv be better overall or is there a reason we use computer monitors for computers and not tv monitors? Im lost in this area of gaming/computing.
 
excpet your gonna be running at like 640* something so everything will look kinda crappy
