I want to play both cd video and DVD from my CPU to a TV in my room next door.

What video card can any one reccomend for me. I have a matrox g250 so if possible I would like to only have a tv out card to work off of the g250.

Do all cards have the same frames per minute and is that something I should be looking for?

Of course I want a one cheap in price with good quality.

Thanks a bunch for all of your help.

If you don't want to buy a new video card you can get an external scan converter to connect between your PC and TV. Do a search on all the forums here, it seems lately that this question is being asked every day!

Frame rate would only be important if you were replacing your video card. TV's resolution isn't even 800x600, you need to look for a scan converter that will support at least that high of input resolution. Output is NTSC video, you have no choice over what comes out there.

Don't we all. I think someone found the AverKey imicro somewhere for under $60. I don't think you'll do better than that.

Again, do a search of the forums for "scan converter" and "TV-out" there's a ton of info out there.

Check out the ATI All-In-Wonders. Right now your have your choice of cards based on the Rage 128 or the new Radeon. Besides that, the All-In-Wonders will allow you to do video editing, video capture and have both S-Video and Line Level outputs and inputs. goto www.ati.com for more info
