I have a Leadtek 200XP Expert TV tuner in my main rig. I also have 2 250GB Maxtor drives - one with 8MB cache and one with 16MB cache. These are being run on the integrated Promise RAID controler in RAID-0. When I capture to this disk, I get awful lines across the screen. I've been advised that having non-identical drives can cause a problem, but I also get these corruptions when I'm simply viewing TV on the card and reading/writing to the array. This leads me to believe there is some kind of interference with the Promise controller and the TV tuner. I'm running the latest drivers for the RAID controller. I'm not 100% positive my tuner drivers are the latest. I had some issues earlier with newer tuner drivers causing crashes. Does anyone have a similar config? I'm considering splitting my array, moving the drives to the primary master/slave and running a spanned volume.

I'll give that a try. I'd been terrified of shifting cards around since I built this system as I had countless problems with different cards in different slots. My system has been stable for a few months now.

Don't worry. Hardware can be handled pretty rough, I know. I've seen people treat cards so badly that I though they were damaged, but they worked 100%. As long as you don't drop a piece of hardware, it'll be fine.
