I want to use my TV tuner to capture a VHS to create a dvd. The VHS is of a anniversary Party. I want to just take waht is on the VHS and put it onto my computer so that i can burn it to a dvd to give to everyone (family, friends) that were at the party. IF anyone can help me out with this I would greatly appreciate it. I dont' think this is the right forum, but its off topic so I figured I'd put it here.
 
not sure if this will work, but as i understand it you can hook up your VCR to your TV tuner card, and then use your TV card software to create a MPEG. Once in mpeg format you can copy it DVD with your dvd or movie software.

not sure though
 
Well I can't seem to figure out how to use the software to create the MPG, I know how to do the DVD and what not, just need the software to create the MPG
