In a previous thread someone told me to make sure I didn't use RG59 cable's for my cable internet box. Does the same apply to the TV Tuner as well? It's a Leadtek XP2000 Deluxe

The only difference(s) between RG6 and RG59 is the thickness of the insulating material, size of the core wire, and the type of foil shielding used. RG6 generally can produce a better picture. Both are 75ohms. RG6 is also typically plenum rated, which means if it ever catches on fire it will not produce a toxic gas while burning. There is also Quad shield RG6 but thats kinda overkill for a tv tuner.

ic. Well I went ahead and just picked up a 12 foot RG6 "great quality" cable from Fry's. Compared it to a Philips RG6 Quad shield and noticed no difference. Thanks for the help
