Hi peeps,

I've a Hauppauge 1250-HVR that I was hoping to reintegrate into my PC (and hopefully use a PS2 without actually buying a TV - go cheap me)

It's a PCIEx1 card (and I have a slot for it), but when I plugged it in, my Xonar DG (on PCI) somehow disappeared entirely from my Device Manager.

I unplug the TV Tuner card, boot up and my speakers work again.

Any ideas from Tuner users?

ASUS M3A76-CM
XFX 2GB 7850
ASUS Xonar DG (PCI)

AH! The old TV Capture Card Vs Sound Card IRQ Conflict - LOL

Either try disabling all unused Ports (EG: Coms, Fireware, ... etc) in BIOS on the main board that is Free Up IRQ's or assign IRQ's - Also you may run into Win GUI Driver Conflicts between your Video, TV and Sound Cards.

A Mainboard with good IRQ assignment helps. Sometimes changing slot positions of the Sound Vs TV Tuner Card works - It all depends how the MB BIOS assigns IRQ's.

I run the Hauppague WinTV 1250 PCIe on an Asus P8Z68V-Pro Gen3 and disable Fireware and Coms in Bios and let Win Assign IRQ's - Works Great and love that Hauppage 1250 WinTV Tuner - I've been running TV Tuner Capture Cards since Win95A ;o)

Apologies for not responding sooner - in my 10ish years of computing, I guess I hadn't ever built up enough peripherals that IRQ conflicts became an issue...

Thanks for the suggestion; I'll definitely check it out!
